Works wonders in a Kindergarten Classroom |

I got this as a Christmas gift from my sister. She thought it would funny since I am a kindergarten teacher. First I was like why did you get me this thing.
I got back from vacation, I bought it into my classroom. IT IS WONDERFUL.
My students all are Hispanic and this puppet looks like them. The name of this puppet is Maria, we named her Maria Conchita Alonzo Rivera.
I use her every single day, when I am teaching because it helps my english as a second language students develop their speaking skills
Puppetry is amazing in a kindergarten classroom especially when it is something that they can relate too. Of course, I have been using puppets in my classroom, but this is the best one of I seen.
I also use her in my third class afterschool programs. Third graders are at this age where they are starting to like eachother. Where else can a tease my students then by having a puppet like them.
I think this is the best thing I have in my classroom.
